I can count all the runs standing between myself and the starting line (er, corral) in Hopkinton on one hand now. Freaky.

This is what the Boston start looks like if you are me (a decidedly NOT elite runner)...yah, I am trying not to think about the first 3 miles, like, at all.
I put in 12 miles this morning, with my average overall pace right around my goal pace to score a 3:15 next Monday. I will definitely have to focus and work hard for it. A 3:15 might still qualify as a “lofty” or “aggressive” goal, as my goal pace is certainly not feeling “easy” or even “moderate”.
But I am going for it anyway.
