My Bucket List

For more information about each event, just click on the event name (my subtitles) and the event website will open.

New Zealand (Speight’s) Coast to Coast

When I was living with my brother and sister-in-law in California I had begun looking into getting my pre-requisites ready. I already had orienteering, repelling, and “leave no trace” training, and just before I moved to Chicago I had contacted a place to take kayak lessons to get level 2 certified (they still send me emails, 4yrs later). Alas…no go.

Mt. Washington Road Race

I hail from New Hampshire, and we are proud of our mountains. They aren’t the tallest but they boast some of the most extreme weather on the continent. Although not as well known as the Boston Marathon, this race is as hard to gain entry into. Let me introduce you to….the lottery.

Midnight Sun Marathon

There are a few midnight sun marathons. But I have a soft-spot for Norway. I went there once in while in college to visit a friend, and loved the country. I have always said if I were to become a writer, and obtain a large book advance, I would rent a cabin or apartment in Norway, cloistered in a small fjord-side village, and write.

The Athens Marathon

If I continue to run marathons, eventually, I will have to pay homage.

  1. This is awesome! Your PR times are soooo good!!

  2. thanks girl!

  3. How did you get the basno badge with your name and time??

  4. Hi Koji,

They sent an email out vis the BAA on or around the 19th I think…I just tried to find it but couldn’t. I was just able to sign in (used my FB info to do so) at http://www.basno.com just now and my medal is there. I think if you were to do the same it would provide you a link to claim your Boston badge.

  5. Ah, it was the back of the medal. I had gotten the medal but did not bother to see the back of it =)
